Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 Online Apply 2022 Gujarat : Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana 2.0: The second installment of Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana started on 10th August. About 80 million LPG gas connections have already been provided through this scheme. A further 1 crore LPG gas connections will be provided in this second installment scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana 2.0
In May 2016, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG) launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana (PMUY) as a master plan to provide cooking gas to rural and disadvantaged households with access to clean gas system like LPG. The use of traditional cooking fuels has detrimental effects on the health of rural women as well as the environment.
Under the Union Budget for FY 21-22, provision was made by the Central Government to release additional 1 crore LPG connections under PMUY scheme. The announcement of 8 crore LPG connections under this scheme has also helped in increasing the LPG coverage from 62% on 1st May 2016 to 99.8% on 1st April 2021.
Who can avail the benefits of Ujjawala 2.0 scheme?
- An adult woman from a poor family and without an LPG connection in her home will be eligible under
Ujjawala 2.0. Beneficiaries should be of any of the following categories:
- SC / ST families, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), forest dwellers, most backward classes (MBC), tea and former tea garden tribes, people living in river islands
- If she does not fall into the above 2 categories, she can claim to be a beneficiary under a poor family (according to the prescribed format) by submitting a 14-point declaration.
Eligibility Criteria for Obtaining a Celebrated 2.0 Connection
- The age of the applicant (female only) should be 18 years.
- There should be no other LPG connection from any OMC in the same house.
How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana 2.0 LPG connection?
The applicant can apply both online and offline.
- Online: The customer can register through the online application or he can also contact the nearest CSC center to submit the application online.
- Offline: The customer can register by submitting an application directly to the distributorship.
Documents required to apply
The applicant must provide the following documents:
- Possess a photograph of the applicant as per KYC standard format and duly signed.
- Proof of identity
- address proof
- Support copy of applicant
- Base copy of ration card or all adult family members shown in the same document
- Applicant's bank account details
- Self-declaration as per Appendix-I in exchange of ration card to confirm family formation in case of migrant applicants.
- Supporting document, if any of the seven categories (i.e. SC / ST families, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) (rural), Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), forest dwellers, beneficiaries of the most backward classes (MBC) have been connected under any So, T and X-T Garden Tribes, people living in River Islands).
- A 14-point declaration in support of a poor family properly signed by the applicant according to the given standard format.
