Mafat Chhatri Yojana 2022 Gujarat : Under the free umbrella scheme, umbrellas will be available free of cost to hawkers selling fruits, vegetables, flowers and perishable agricultural products of the state at roadside, haat bazaar or on lorries. Under this scheme, one person per beneficiary (i.e. one Aadhaar card) will be entitled to an umbrella.

Free Chhatri Yojana - Mafat Chhatri Yojana

This is one of the horticulture schemes started by the Gujarat government. The main objective of this scheme is to prevent spoilage of fruits and vegetables. For which a scheme has been issued to provide free umbrellas or sheds to small sellers. Through this scheme, the Government of Gujarat provides financial assistance for roadside sale of fruits, vegetables, flowers and perishable agricultural products, sale in the haat bazaar or providing free umbrellas to hawkers with lorries. To avail the benefit of free umbrella scheme one has to apply online on I khedut Portal.

 

Benefits of Free Umbrella Scheme - Mafat Chatri Yojana Benefits

The scheme benefits small sellers through the horticulture department. Those who sell fruits, flowers and vegetables benefit. Umbrellas will be provided free of cost under the Gujarat Free Umbrella Scheme 2022 to small vendors who are selling perishable crops in small markets, haats or lari felia. The benefit of this scheme will be available to the individual and also to the organization.


Who will benefit?

  • Under the free umbrella scheme, small sellers will be given one umbrella per Aadhaar card.
  • The adult beneficiary will get the benefit of this scheme.


Eligibility for Free Umbrella Scheme - Mafat Chhatri Scheme Eligibility Criteria

You must have the following qualifications if you want to take advantage of the free umbrella scheme.

  • The applicant should be from Gujarat state.
  • Must be selling fruits and vegetables or flowers.
  • The beneficiary should be selling on the road side, in a market or in a small market.
  • Small lorry hawkers will also benefit from this scheme
  • Smaller sellers will also benefit from selling agricultural products that are perishable. 

 

Document required for free umbrella scheme - Mafat Chatri Scheme Document

The following documents are required to avail this scheme.

  • Beneficiary's Aadhaar card
  • Certificate of race
  • Ration card
  • Mobile number
  • Identity card issued by Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission (if any)
  • Certificate of Disability (if the farmer is disabled)
  • Copy of Forest Rights Letter if Beneficiary is from Tribal Area (if any)
  • Consent form of other farmer in case of joint account holder in 7-12 and 8-A of agricultural land
  • Details of a member of a co-operative society (if applicable)
  • Information if a member of the Milk Producers Association (if applicable) 

 

The Mafat Chhatri Scheme Online Form Process is as follows:

  • The first beneficiary opened the website https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/. Then click on “Plan”.
  • Then "Horticulture Schemes" will have to be opened on Sr. No. 3.
  • After opening “Bagayati Yojana” will show many horticultural schemes of the current year.
  • In the present situation, it will show "Assistance Scheme for providing free umbrella / shade cover to small sellers to prevent spoilage of fruits and vegetables" at No. 21.
  • Clicking on which will open the next New Page.
  • Now you will be asked if you are a registered applicant farmer? In which if you have registered you have to say "yes" and if you have not done so you have to say "no".
  • If you have registered earlier as a farmer, you have to apply by entering Captcha Image after entering Aadhaar card number and mobile number.
  • If the beneficiary is not registered on i-farmer portal, select 'No'.
  • Now the online application form of "Free Umbrella Scheme" will open. After filling in the complete information, click on save application button.
  • Then you have to confirm the application by checking the refilled details. Note that once the application is confirmed, there will be no improvement or increase in the application.
  • The beneficiary will be able to get a printout based on his / her application after applying online. After getting the print, signature-coins have to be issued.
  • Finally, the beneficiary has to upload the required document on ikhedut Portal.
