“Koo, India's own micro blogging app, has raised USD 30 million in Series B funding,” it said in a statement on Wednesday, adding that Tiger Global led the investment round. The fresh round of funding would be used mainly to strengthen engineering, product and community efforts across all Indian languages at Koo.

New Delhi: The Koo app, a homegrown rival to US-based microblogging site Twitter Inc., has clocked one crore downloads in less than 18 months of operations. According to the company, its growth accelerated since February this year with 85 lakh downloads registered in the past six months alone.
