PSTET Result 2015 declared at www.pstet.org.in: Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the result for the Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2015.

The State Council of Education Research & Training, Punjab, organized Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to provide required qualification to the candidates looking to get jobs in teacher post for Primary and Elementary level. The written examination was taken for the purpose on 13th December across the state of Punjab in various exam centers in which thousands of future teachers sat for the exam. There were two papers in the exam: Paper I for Primary level (class 1 to 5) and Paper II for Elementary level (class 6 to 8).

The Government has made it mandatory to pass in the TET as qualification to apply for teacher jobs in various Government and Non-Government Institutions. So, every year, lot of candidates sit for the test. This year, it was no different. After the exam, it will take some time to process the result. In the mean time, PSTET Answer Key 2015 is already available and it is a great news for all the applicants.

As per source just 8,793 of 1.66 lakh candidates cleared Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test. The pass percentage is only 5.29. As per source that only 12% candidates had passed TET-1 and only 3% had cleared TET-2.

Punjab School Education Board conducted the PSTET 2015 written Examination on 13-12-2015 (Sunday) in morning and afternoon shifts. PSTE was conducted for two papers.

(i)         Paper I for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.

(ii)        Paper II for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: Only Qualifying Candidates will get the Punjab TET 2015 Certificate. Criteria of Qualifying the Exam for Category General Minimum 90 Marks And SC/S T/BC/OBC/Handicapped Minimum 82 Marks as per NCTE instructions


A person who scores percentage equal or more than as given in the below table in TET exams will be considered TET pass.

a) School Managements (Governments, Local bodies, Government aided and un-aided) May consider giving concessions to person belonging to Sc/ ST, OBC, differently abled person etc. in accordance extent reservation policy.

b) Should weightage TET scores in the recruitment process : However, qualifying TET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/ employment as its only the one of the eligibility criteria for appointment .

Validity Period of PSTET Certificate:

a) The Validity Period of Punjab TET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories.

b) There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a Punjab TET Certificate. A person who has qualified Punjab TET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
