Application form can be downloaded from the University website

Application-cum-process fees for single application Rs.1500/- is to be sent by speed post/courier in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University payable at Ahmedabad along with the duly filled application form

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum CPI/CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale or 60% marks as per the degree awarded

Valid GATE score at the time of admission

However candidates without GATE score may also apply and candidates with the above qualification can be sponsored by related industries

M.Tech: Petroleum Engineering

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Refinery Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering/M.Sc or M.Sc Tech in Applied Geology, Applied Geophysics, Petroleum Geology with Mathematics as one of the courses of study at Bachelor’s level

School of Solar Energy

M.Tech: Energy Systems and Technology (Focused on Solar Energy)

B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation / Production Engineering / Semiconductor Technology / Energy Science and Engineering or M.Sc or equivalent degree in Physics / Applied Physics / Electronics / Optoelectronics

School of Technology

M.Tech: Nuclear Engineering

Admission Process

A written aptitude test common for all the branches of M.Tech admission will be conducted on 12th June 2014 in SPT-1 building (Block-C) of the university campus from 10.00 a.m to 12.00 p.m

On the same day at 02.00 p.m, the result of the test will be announced on the notice-board, which will be followed by the personal interview from 02.15 p.m onwards for the candidates shortlisted from the WAT-result on the same day

The interview process may continue even on next day

50% weightage of the score obtained in the written aptitude test-WAT and 50% weightage of the score obtained in the Personal Interview-PI

The first merit list for the admission will be announced on 18th June 2014

Accordingly the last date for paying fees by the candidates of the first merit list will be 20th June 2014

The first semester shall commence from 02nd July, 2014

Financial Assistance: Candidates with valid GATE score and admitted to M.Tech programme, would be eligible to get a Research and/or Teaching Assistantship

Rs.7500/- per month as Fellowship to the admitted candidates having valid GATE score

Rs.7500/- per month as Teaching Assistantship to the admitted candidates with or without valid GATE score, during the first year as per the requirement of the University

Jurisdiction: The above referred Admission Procedure is subject to the jurisdiction of Hon’ble Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad

Last date for On-Line application: 26th May 2014
Written Aptitude Test: 12th June 2014 (10.00 am to 12.00 noon)
Personal Interview: 12th June 2014 (02.15 pm onwards)
May continue on 13th June, 2014
First Merit List for the admission: 18th June 2014
Last date for Paying Fees for the first merit list: 20th June 2014
