In the year 2013, as per the information brochure , the general candidates need to score 50th percentile, the minimum marks for OBC was 40th percentile. In the year 2014, it was changed to 50% and 40% for the respective categories instead of percentile. NEET 2016 Result Tie Break
The tie-breaking is the procedure to break the tie when two or more than two candidates have secured the same marks. Below are the measures adopted for the tie-break.
- The candidate who secured higher marks in the Biology will be given preference.
- If it does not break the tie, the candidate securing high marks will be allocated the better rank.
- If both the above measures do not break the tie, the candidate with less negative marks will be given preference.
- If all the above measures do not break the tie, the candidate older in age will be given preference.
NEET 2016 Merit List
The rank list of NEET 2016 will be prepared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the national level 15% quota seats. Also, the rank list will be handed over to the states/admitting authorities/ University pertaining to which the merit list will be prepared by them after applying their rules.

After NEET 2016 Result
As per the merit list, the counselling will be conducted. The counselling for NEET will be conducted by the Medical Council Committee (MCC). The date for the counselling has not been notified yet. The candidates will be notified here anything releases in the relation to the same.
